San Francisco Opera Opens 90th Season With Verdi's 'Rigoletto'

‘Tis the season when two true passions collide for many San Franciscans, their beloved Giants and the Opera. After their spectacular debut with the SF Opera on opening night last Friday, Polish soprano Aleksandra Kurzak and Serbian tenor Francesco Demuro will resume their respective roles as “Gilda” and “The Duke of Mantua” in Giuseppi Verdi's Rigoletto. However much of the audience of this Saturday’s production will need to bring a blanket since they will be watching from the home field of the San Francisco Giants, AT&T Park.
